Putin Publicly Rejects Trump’s Peace Push Before US Midterms

(KYIV, UKRAINE) – The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has publicly rejected any peace negotiations or ceasefire before 10th November, despite US President Donald Trump’s efforts to accommodate the Kremlin, in a move that has left the White House exposed and humiliated.

The rejection came after Trump had lifted sanctions, halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine and created serious problems with Starlink in an attempt to satisfy Moscow’s demands, according to the Ukrainian vlogger Anna Danylchuk, speaking in her latest video from Ukraine.

“Putin has dumped Trump on public despite all the efforts of the American president who openly went against the American interests, against the public opinion, against the Republican values,” she said.

She added that even Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio appeared shocked at how openly Trump had begun supporting “the greatest war criminal of the 21st century, whom Steve Witkoff today named the greatest humanist”.

Trump had wanted a deal before his midterms so he could present himself to supporters as a global leader and peacemaker ending one war after another. Putin’s public refusal, delivered on camera, denied him that.

“I’m sure right now Donald Trump is super stressed because he went all in,” Anna said. “And Russians will never do what you want.”

She urged Americans who still believe Russia is not their enemy to understand that Moscow’s ideology is not merely imperialism but anti-Americanism.

“If you could only see what is happening right now in their social media, you would feel sick because they are celebrating this humiliation of the American president,” she said. “Even if he is Donald Trump, they are super happy that their president demonstrated that despite all the efforts, despite all the betrayals made by Donald Trump against his real allies like Ukraine, like EU countries, like NATO countries, Putin is not interested in the relationships.”

She described the dynamic as “exactly what toxic dependency looks like”.

Anna, who identifies herself as speaking from Ukraine, said Ukrainians want peace but will never accept lies or pressure to surrender as a real chance for peace.

She said any real negotiations would begin with a ceasefire, when both sides stop targeting each other and there is silence and an option for talks. As long as Russia continues destroying Ukrainian homes and killing children, she said, it is not serious about peace.

She noted that since the beginning of Trump’s efforts, Putin has constantly said no, even to a short ceasefire, including a 60 day pause that would have allowed Ukraine to hold elections.

She also pointed to Russia’s plans to increase its military budget by 40% over the next three years despite a huge federal budget deficit, which she said shows Putin wants to expand the war to potentially NATO countries.

“He sees Donald Trump’s term as a perfect window of opportunity because he can play the American president like a fiddle,” she said.

She criticised Trump for pressuring the victim of aggression to stop doing anything against Russia while the Kremlin keeps destroying civilian infrastructure and killing children in parks.

During just one week, she said, there were many civilian casualties, including children.

She singled out Witkoff, whom she described as “just a filthy businessman” rather than a diplomat, for calling Putin a “great humanist”.

She acknowledged that some American observers, including JD Vance, argue Witkoff needed to satisfy Putin to secure the return of an American hostage. But she said he could have used any other word than humanist.

“That’s the slap on the face of Ukraine that lost so many good people,” she said.

She also questioned the logic of thanking Putin for returning hostages, noting that Putin’s own regime was the reason they were imprisoned in the first place, in Russia or in Belarus.

“Don’t be grateful to the bloody dictators who captured your innocent citizens and then, when they return you back those whom they did not have any right to arrest, you thank them for this and you call them humanists,” she said. “This is such a disgrace.”

She called on those who have remained neutral to choose a side, saying that to name Putin a humanist after strikes on Ukrainian cities, after hundreds of killed Ukrainian children and after the abduction of Ukrainian children is “not a crime, it’s a sin”.

Turning to talks held in Norway, where President Volodymyr Zelensky, EU leaders, Witkoff and Jared Kushner discussed security guarantees and the reconstruction of Ukraine, she said the absence of any real ceasefire plan showed those discussions were “just fantasies”.

She described Witkoff as a “messenger” and a “dealer” who travelled to St Petersburg and “began worshiping Vladimir Putin”, recalling that on a previous visit he said his fondest memories would be of conversations in the Kremlin.

She questioned whether it was normal for a diplomat to call Putin a humanist, adding that Witkoff is “definitely not a diplomat” and is “just trying to get Trump family more money”.

On Putin’s statement that trilateral meetings may be reconsidered after 10th November, she said the delay is “literally painful to Donald Trump” because he needed a short ceasefire, a break or relief in diesel prices.

She said Trump had been “begging Vladimir Putin for some support”, and that by the time 10th November arrives it will be too late to change the views of former Trump supporters who now see his betrayal and weakness.

She argued that Putin is watching the chaos he helped create and dreams of dividing the United States and sparking protests, possibly even a moment when Trump refuses to accept the midterm results.

“His function right now is to cause more chaos everywhere, in the United States, in France, in Italy, in Ukraine,” she said.

She said Russia will keep pushing ideas that can never be accepted by the Ukrainian people, hoping to bring them onto the streets to protest against Zelensky, forgetting that it is not Zelensky who does not want to surrender but everyone in Ukraine.

“Their greatest mistake is that they think by substituting Zelensky with the next president, they can pressure him or her to surrender,” she said. “No, this will be another discovery if they create the situation. We are here very united against Russia.”

She said Ukrainians know what happens in the temporarily occupied territories and understand that Putin never wanted only Donetsk and Luhansk.

“He wants to destroy Ukraine, to get this territory, to move closer to NATO borders and then to continue attacks on NATO countries, reconstructing the USSR and also spreading his influence, getting more Russian oligarchs into your financial systems and destroying the world, naming it Ruscism,” she said. “That’s the plan. It was never about Donetsk and Luhansk. Otherwise, why do they bomb Lviv, that is 80 kilometres from the European Union?”

She urged people not to listen to Witkoff and Kushner when they present arguments that Putin himself laughs at.

She said that despite what she called open treason, Trump cannot even confirm it was his order to stop intelligence sharing or Starlink, and that officials are trying to find scapegoats because they are afraid to take responsibility for something that could be qualified as treason.

Addressing her American audience, she thanked those who have supported Ukraine despite the sacrifices and the ruined image and the wave of negative reaction from the American people.

“I love you for that. Thank you so much,” she said. “This means a lot. This gives us strength under ballistic attacks, with drones in our skies, without early warnings, with slow Starlink for our interceptors. This gives us hope.”

She said she knows it is not the American people but Trump who is responsible.

She said Putin has now dumped Trump in public, telling him “see you later, we’ll see what the results will be”, and predicted Trump is even more furious than during his recent meeting with journalists, which she described as looking awful.

“The president is too emotional,” she said. “Presidents cannot be that emotional. Zelensky under such pressure is never acting like that, never so aggressive towards the journalists, and it shows how freaked out Trump is.”

Reflecting on Trump’s willingness to betray his word, and on Vance’s shift from an anti Trump figure to a pro Trump one, she drew a conclusion.

“Nobody likes traitors. Nobody takes them seriously,” she said. “Nobody in Ukraine, nobody in France, and even nobody in Russia.”
